Mindfulness is about you: your concerns, and your wellbeing
Mindfulness is a technique for reducing stress, depression and anxiety which has been widely approved by the international medical community.
It teaches greater awareness of our thoughts, feelings and sensations through simple techniques like meditation and gentle movement. And you don’t need to go on a retreat in India or sit on the top of the Himalayas simply practice on a chair, a sofa or a floor in your home, office or outdoors.
It is a scientifically based, National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE), BBC and Radio 4 approved technique for reducing burn out, stress, depression, physical pain and anxiety.
so let’s establish how you can benefit from mindfulness:
Does any of this sound like you?
- I want to reduce stress and anxiety levels
- I would like to achieve the things I want to as well as those I have to
- I want to find balance in work and play and in my mind and body
- I want to feel less exhausted and more energised
- I want to improve my overall health and well-being
- I want to kick old habits such as overeating and drinking
- I wish I could stop comparing myself to other people and people pleasing
- Why do I talk myself out of doing incredible things because I am afraid to discover if I’ve got what it takes
…Or perhaps you want some direction in life, to become more productive or to improve your relationships.
Whether it’s anger, bereavement, bullying, life having no purpose, low-self esteem, the menopause, personal development, redundancy or retirement. Mindfulness can help.
If your answer to one or more of these questions or statements is yes then you may benefit from attending You Revolution’s cutting-edge, scientifically based, National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE), BBC and Radio approved mindfulness courses.

As a qualified, experienced Mindfulness Practitioner and Teacher, You Revolution Founder Karen Deeming has an inspirational story to tell. Feeling demotivated, creatively blocked, restless and exhausted, I attended a series of meditation and mindfulness workshops and retreats. Since then my life has completely turned around. I left a secure well-paid job in the London corporate world all in my 30s, to fulfil my life-long passions: health, well-being, meditation, nature, travelling and being creative. Now I am a highly successful Lecturer & Consultant Integrative Psychotherapist in Bristol and previously in Harley Street, London advising film Directors, such as Mike Leigh, on the authenticity of film narratives involving psychotherapy.
According to Oxford University Mindfulness Professors, thousands of peer-reviewed scientific papers prove that mindfulness enhances mental and physical wellbeing and reduces chronic pain.
So if you want to reduce anxiety, stress, depression, exhaustion, they all decrease with regular sessions of mindfulness exercises and meditations.
Mindfulness can also help you to improve your reaction times at home and at work.
Another benefit of mindfulness is that it enhances memory retention and an increase in mental and physical stamina.
Research also indicates that those of us who practice mindfulness regularly are calmer, happier, more focused and contented and less prone to psychological distress.
